Prof. Dr. Ayşe Berna Anıl was born in Izmir in 1970. She completed her primary education at İzmir Agah Efendi Primary School and her secondary and high school education at İzmir İnönü High School. She graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in 1992. She worked as a general practitioner in Kastamonu and Istanbul. In 2002, she became a pediatrician at Istanbul SSK Bakırköy Women's and Children's Diseases Training and Research Hospital.
In 2002, she started working as a pediatrician at Izmir Tepecik Training and Research Hospital.
Between 2004 and 2005, she worked as an Observer Doctor in the Pediatric Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit of Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine.
In 2007, she established the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Izmir Tepecik Training and Research Hospital.
She received the title of Pediatric Intensive Care Subspecialist in 2011.
She received the title of Associate Professor of Pediatrics in 2012.
In 2014, he started working as the Head of Department of Pediatric Intensive Care at Izmir Kâtip Çelebi University Faculty of Medicine.
In 2016, she worked as an Observer Physician at Harvard Medical School, Boston Children's Hospital.
In 2017, she received the title of Professor of Pediatrics.
She served as the Head of İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University Educator Development Unit and the Head of the Professional Skills Commission of the Faculty of Medicine.
In 2023, she started working as the Clinical Director of Izmir City Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Clinic.
She retired in February 2024. From that date on, she started working in her own private practice in Balçova / İzmir.
Prof. Dr. Ayşe Berna Anıl is married and the mother of one child.
SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES
She has 240 scientific articles, editorship of 7 books, and chapter authorship in 19 books in the field of Pediatrics. Her scientific articles have received 1617 citations so far and her h-index is 19.
